Alisha Renée Harris is an interdisciplinary artist dedicated to creating critical works through both physical and digital mediums. Her work is designed to reach the viewer through multiple entry points and examine themes of identity, culture, politics, and nature. By continuously exploring new mediums, she creates narrative journeys that delve into the complex relationships between the self and the surrounding environment. Alisha’s art is informed by her research and her desire to push the boundaries of traditional art forms, combining tactile and digital elements to create immersive experiences that inspire introspection and dialogue. She uses art as a tool for transformation, unity, and the amplification of underrepresented voices.
Alisha graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with two undergraduate degrees, a B.A. in Theatrical Production with a focus in Costume Design and a B.A. in Spanish Communication for Business and Professional Contexts.
